NUTS Weekend 9-11 December 2011

Tijdens het NUTS weekend is Militaria Bastogne geopend! Vrijdag, zaterdag en zondag staan wij voor u klaar op een, hiervoor speciaal ingerichte, locatie achter het 101st Airborne museum aan de Avenue de la Gare 11-13 in Bastogne. De verbouwing van onze nieuwe winkel duurt wat langer dan voorzien maar wij willen u als trouwe bezoeker niet teleurstellen, wij hopen u dan ook tijdens dit weekend te mogen bezoeken. Uiteraard mag u een bezoek aan het museum niet missen. Dus graag tot ziens in december.

 

Militaria Bastogne will be open during the NUTS weekend. We have organized a special sales spot behind the 101st Airborne museum at the Avenue de la Gare 11-13 in Bastogne. Construction from our new shop takes longer than expected but we didn't want to disappoint you as a customer so we hope to welcome you during this weekend. Of course you cannot miss the opportunity to pay a visit to the museum. See you in December!

 

Militaria Bastogne sera ouvert pendant le week-end NUTS. Nous avons organisé une tache de ventes spéciales derrière le 101st musée aéroporté à l'avenue de la Gare 11-13 à Bastogne. La construction de notre nouveau magasin prend plus longtemps que prévu mais nous n'avons pas voulu vous décevoir comme un client ainsi nous espèrent te souhaiter la bienvenue pendant ce week-end. Naturellement vous ne pouvez pas manquer l'occasion de payer une visite au musée. Voyez-vous en décembre !

You can visit us again in the near future at our new location in the new 101st Airborne Museum Le Mess at Avenue de la Gare 11-13 in Bastogne. The Forgotten Battalion

The Forgotten Battalion
In 2009 wordt nieuw uitgebracht: "The Forgotten Battalion", een onafhankelijk samengestelde en geproduceerde documentaire door Ian Gardner en John Sushams. Dit als begeleiding voor het nieuw uit te brengen boek: "D-Day's Forgotten Battalion" (geschreven door Ian Gardner in samenwerking met Roger Day. Geplande publicatie door Osprey Publishing in april 2009).

De film toont 9 veteranen van Third Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment vanaf hun training in de USA tot en met de eindzege in Europa en de verovering van Hitler's Adelaarsnest in de Alpen.

Coming in 2009 'The Forgotten Battalion' is an independent fifty minute DVD documentary created and produced by Ian Gardner and John Sushams to accompany Ian's forthcoming book 'D-Day's Forgotten Battalion' (co-written with Roger Day and set for release by Osprey Publishing in April 09).

The film follows nine surviving members of the Third Battalion 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment from their trail blazing training in the USA to final victory in Europe and the capture of Hitler's Alpine retreat.

C-47 Club

C-47 Club
Met enige trots delen wij mee dat Militaria Bastogne met ingang van November 2008 life long member is geworden van de C-47 Club (Belgian Ardennes & Salm Chapter).

Deze non-profit organisatie, met zetel in de Verenigde Staten en diverse chapters in Europa, heeft als doel alle veteranen die sinds de Tweede Wereldoorlog ooit uit een C-47 transportvliegtuig zijn gesprongen, te groeperen.  Door de jaren heen is de C-47 Club uitgegroeid tot een wijd vertakte vereniging, waarbij iedereen kan aansluiten.

Wanneer u lid wilt worden van deze club, kunt u een inschrijfformulier bij ons opvragen.
